Subject: JOB POSTING (CALIF.)--Electronic Resources Coordinator

         The University of Calif., Riverside Library is seeking an
energetic, creative Librarian to serve as Electronic Resources
Coordinator.  As the primary liaison for electronic resources materials,
this position will be responsible for providing access to and maintenance
of electronic resources.  Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions in the
Technical Services Division, and working collaboratively with other library
departments, this new position is responsible for acquiring, organizing,
and ensuring ongoing access to a broad array of electronic
resources.   Activities include identifying electronic resources for
consideration, setting up product trials, working with vendors,
customization of interface configurations, producing statistical reports,
troubleshooting, usability and functionality testing, dissemination of
information about electronic resources to staff and patrons and
training.  Serves on the reference desks in both the Science and Rivera
Libraries. Graduate Library degree; recent reference experience, recent
experience with library automated systems; experience with a variety of
electronic databases.
         The successful candidate will be appointed to the Librarian Series
at a salary level appropriate to the candidate's qualifications and
experience.  Appt. Range:  $37,728-$59,832.  Librarians are academic
appointees and accrue vacation at the rate of two days per month and sick
leave at the rate of one day per month.  The University offers a broad
