Web Only articles that have to be printed out that come with print journals Julia Esparza 28 Jan 2002 15:29 UTC

Dear friends,

I know we have bantered this topic around before but I'm looking at it
from an archives point of view so I think my question is new.

Health Affairs has been providing Web Exclusives not found in the print
journal. I have to print these items out because we need to have access
to everything because we do large Evidence-Based-Medicine projects and
they will show up in some bibliography in the future.

Question: Do you think they should be placed on the shelf with the
journal or should we catalog them individually and put a note in the
Source field of where they are from? I'm afraid they will be lost if we
put them on the shelf. They do NOT show up as being indexed in PUBMED.

Is anyone handling this issue in print form?

Please respond directly to me and if there is enough interest I'll send
responses to the list.

Julie
