Dear All,

Further to the EBSCO News Release dated March 5th, Emerald have made the
decision to sign the RoweCom Prepaid Order Agreement.

We believe that signing this agreement is in the best interests of both
customers and publishers during this difficult period and forms part of
Emerald's ongoing commitment to support our customers.

All library creditors of RoweCom who sign the Customer Version of this
agreement, will receive guaranteed delivery of all 2003 Emerald
subscriptions after the 31st of March 2003, when our existing grace
period for all RoweCom customers expires. Ongoing agreements between
Emerald and customers from 2004 and beyond will remain in place.

We are currently in the process of personally contacting all Emerald
customers to confirm our position on this matter. However do not
