In the 21st century, acquisitions librarians must be collaborators, not just accommodators. This preconference will explore our new roles and responsibilities in the Digital Age. The content will focus on the need for developing collaborative relationships with book, serial and integrated library system (ILS) vendors, consortia, public services, collection development and data providers. The program targets experienced acquisitions librarians, but includes content that will be useful to new acquisitions librarians and collection development practitioners as well.
