Re: Government documents Alta Hepner 16 Jun 2003 16:31 UTC

Mary,
We are a 20% depository (about 10% are serials) and we use SIRSI for our ILS. We receive shipping list records from Marcive and check in all of my serials with the record provided. With SIRSI I have the option of using a summary holding statement or each issue can be barcoded.
Hope this helps!

Good morning,

We are a small university, largely teacher preparation, of about 3000
students. We are currently examining workflow in government documents,
including check-in.
How many of you use the serials sub-system of your ILS to check in
government documents? If so, what percentage of your documents
collection do you estimate that you can check in this way?

Any further thoughts that you have on this issue would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Mary
