BBA Online JoAnne Griffin 01 Dec 2003 15:47 UTC

Hi, all
Does anyone know of a way to make it easier for patrons to match their
Medline citations to the proper subset of Biochimica et Biophysica Acta
online? If you have this journal online you know there are numerous
sections (about 15-16) with an individual link for each section. The
citations they get from Medline however will just say Vol:Issue and not
indicate that they are part of (for example) BBA Biomembranes, so
patrons don't know which BBA link will lead them to the proper online
section. This was all fine when BBA was in paper because the section
titles were printed on the spine, but it is causing much confusion in an
online world.

Has anyone contacted NLM about what appears to be an indexing problem?
Or Elsevier? To make it more of a nightmare, the volumes do not run
consecutively. For ex. BBA Biomembranes includes vols. 1551-1560 and
then it skips to vols. 1604-1607.

Thanks for any insights.
