Libraries Discussion Group will meet at ALA Midwinter in San Diego as follows:

Saturday, January 10, 2004. 9:30-11:00 AM. Holiday Inn (HOL). Porthole Room.

The topic is: Mission Statements for Technical Services

JoAnne Deeken of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville will lead off by
describing her institution's experiences discussing mission, goals, values,
etc. Then there will be a partially facilitated discussion. Everybody is
welcome. Come and share your own experiences, thoughts and curiosity on
this topic. Current plans for the meeting at annual in Orlando call for
dealing further with this topic, if there seems to be interest. Perhaps an
exercise where participants at round tables come up with possible
statements of mission, values, and goals.
