Digital Learning Services Librarian Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a dynamic, self-motivated, visionary librarian to lead the library in developing its evolving model of teaching and learning informed by technology. Serving in the newly created position of Digital Learning Services Librarian, this librarian will function as a catalyst in transforming the vision, role, and use of the Library by leading initiatives firmly grounded in learning theory and informed by progressive technology. Responsibilities include the identification, organization, and management of digital materials; the incorporation and production of tools to support effective use of digital information; and the envisioning, implementation and management of emerging online services. Additionally, this person will innovatively manage serials collections and services within this evolving environment, as well as work collaboratively with the Information Technology department and other professionals throughout the College to integrate the new model institutionally. Active participation in the daily/evening/weekend reference, instruction, and library liaison programs is vital to the purpose of this position. Required Qualifications: An MLS (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited institution; ability to communicate and work effectively with the students, faculty, and staff; relevant experience in library reference and instruction; demonstrated knowledge of teaching and learning theories and their application; education and/or experience in instructional technology or design; experience with online resource design, development and maintenance processes; experience with and knowledge of the management of electronic resources; familiarity with emerging library-related technologies, trends and applications; working knowledge of serials collections and services, including emerging trends; strong interest in working with individuals from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds; strong orientation toward user services. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated technical ability in online resource design, development, and maintenance processes.
