Has anyone read and/or heard of why the publishers of India Today
International have been changing their volume numbering over the last
few weeks?  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any answers.

The numbering was New Series Volume 2 (2003), then Vol. 48 (Dec
2003), and is now back at New Series Volume 3 (2004).  Are other
libraries going to consider "Vol. 48" issues to really be "New Series
Volume 2"
