The Congressional Research Service (CRS) seeks a Cataloger to serve in
the CRS Office of Information Resources Management, which is responsible
for the development and maintenance of information services that support
both the United States Congress and CRS staff.  CRS Catalogers describe,
classify and assign subject headings to all CRS information resources in
a variety of formats, including government and congressional documents,
electronic resources, serials and integrating resources.

The incumbent will serve as an expert in cataloging using MARC, AACR,
LCSH, LC Classification and assist with developing or using a variety of
other metadata schemes in order to enhance access to CRS resources.
Duties include collaborating with all CRS staff to develop and maintain
taxonomies as well as analyzing, researching and describing resources
using criteria and standards most relevant to CRS and the Congress.

This position is being offered at the GS-13 level ($72,108 - $93,742).
