CATALOGER LIBRARIAN AND BIBLIOGRAPHER

Full-time, tenure track, faculty position. Cataloging librarian and
bibliographer with duties to include cataloging and classifying print
and electronic materials in all formats and subjects. Collection
management responsibilities include serving as liaison to selected
academic departments in disciplines to be determined.  Participation in
library committees and professional associations is expected, as is a
program of research, scholarship, and/or creative work.

Required:  MLS from an ALA accredited program or international
equivalent; knowledge of and experience with AACR2, LCSH, LC
classification, and OCLC; knowledge of and experience with online
integrated library systems; demonstrated skills with networked
information resources; demonstrated knowledge of and interest in
microcomputer applications in cataloging and related areas; demonstrated
strength in written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to
work independently and cooperatively in a changing environment;
willingness to accept new responsibilities as needed.

Preferred:  Knowledge of and experience with Innovative Interfaces
on-line library system; experience with cataloging of electronic and
Internet resources. Second graduate degree is preferred, and required
for tenure.  Applicants with a second graduate degree will be considered
for the rank of Assistant Professor.

Salary: Minimum = $40,115 (Instructor); $46,087 (Assistant Professor).
Full-time, tenure-track position.   Salary and rank commensurate with
credentials and experience.  Comprehensive benefits including TIAA/CREF,
health and dental insurance.  Minimum of 37 hour per week schedule which
includes fall and spring semesters and 8 weeks in the summer.  Release
time provided for those pursuing second degree required for promotion
and tenure.
