Since 2000 we have had to claw tooth and nail to get our microfilm reels of
WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY (WWD) and DAILY NEWS RECORD (DNR), two fashion
publications put out by Fairchild Publications.  We have not had any
problems receiving the paper versions of these two titles, but starting in
2000 when our subscription to the microfilm was inexplicably cancelled by
the publisher I have had to make numerous phone calls, emails and faxes
before we receive it.  I transferred our subscription to Ebsco starting in
2002 and our Ebsco rep has faced the same difficulties.  Right now, we are
trying to get all the reels put out since May 2003 and I count ten emails
now back and forth between my Ebsco rep and I updating the status of the
pursuit for these reels.

Has anyone had better luck getting these reels and/or know of someone we
could contact at Fairchild to get a fire lit under the microfilm supplier
or another tack we might try to get the reels supplied.  I can understand
and accept the occasional mix up or error, but the publisher's track record
since 2000 suggests deeper problems than an occasional slipup.
