PsycINFO Welcomes New Coverage Manager

Dear Colleagues:

The PsycINFO Department of the American Psychological Association is
pleased to welcome Lynn Willis, our new content development manager.

With a background in chemistry and more than 15 years in the publishing
industry, Lynn joined APA in May.  Most recently she was employed by The

Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), where

she served as managing editor of The FASEB Journal.

In her new role at APA, Lynn will work with publishers and other content

providers to acquire more information for both PsycEXTRA and PsycINFO.
Her
long-term goals include a desire to get more interdisciplinary material
into the APA databases in order to provide users access to the
information
where "psychology intersects with other disciplines."   Noting that this

material can be difficult to locate, Lynn is actively seeking input from

scholars, librarians, and others about what they would like to see
covered
in the APA databases.

Lynn would also like to collaborate with academic publishers and hopes
to
reach out to these organizations.
