We have worked with a single vendor for more than 8 yrs, but I don't think that there any harm in looking at other vendors for information. There's no way to know if there is something better out there unless someone can make the comparison. But it is a big deal to switch vendors, so the difference in service and cost would have to be significant enough to justify the change. I deal with over 1400 active titles since 1999 and one main vendor and several direct publishers, and a couple of duplicate banks routinely. You have to weight the cost and time you will spend on the switch. Also such frequent vendor changes may confuse publishers. If any of the vendor uses fulfillment houses it will more then likely create shipping problems. I'd also advice to check how reliable your proposed vendor is. The one that you are using now may be better and in the long run it will save you time because you will not end up with missing issues and order replacements. These are the things I would consider.
