Electronic Resources Coordinator

San Jose State?s King Library is looking for a dynamic and innovative
team-leader to fill the position of Electronic Resources Coordinator. The
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library is a unique collaboration between the
City of San Jose and the San Jose State University. Within this
environment the successful candidate will provide leadership and ongoing
planning for the organization and access to the Library?s vast and complex
collection of electronic resources.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·       Developing innovative strategies for managing and processing the
complex collection of Library electronic resources
·       Overseeing the Millennium Electronic Resources Management Module,
including the coordination of implementations and upgrades, and
publicizing the resource to the SJSU academic community
·       Providing leadership and coordination to the SFX Management Team
by leading effective meetings, setting goals, objectives and action plans
·       Coordinating consistency in the complex management of parallel
technologies in the Library, including SFX, Serials Solutions, and
metasearch products
·       Keeping abreast of trends and developments, presenting and
attending seminars, workshops, and trainings, in the field of management
and organization of electronic resources

Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent, and five years of progressively
responsible library experience with an emphasis on team leadership and
management of electronic resources.  Bachelor?s degree preferred.  Any
combination of education and experience that provides the required
knowledge and abilities may be substituted.

Applicants must also possess demonstrated ability to:

·       Employ strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
·       Exercise independent judgment and decision-making abilities
·       Draw conclusions, develop recommendations, and follow
recommendations through to completion
·       Provide visionary leadership and project management to a team of
faculty librarians and staff
·       Independently handle multiple work priorities, organize and plan
work and projects

Work schedule is 8 am ? 5 pm, Monday ? Friday.
