Re: SERIALST: JSTOR print backfiles Jack Hall 15 Feb 2007 14:01 UTC

Several years ago we shipped the print volumes to storage, up to the
arbitrarily chosen year 1997. We have not followed up for later years as
JSTOR coverage has moved forward. Our policy is to retrieve the bound
volumes upon request, but I understand that such requests come rarely, or
never. The catalog records for the print versions have a note in the
summary holding statement: "Bound vols. earlier than 1997 in offsite
storage; use electronic full text version. [To Request Pre-1997 Bound
Volumes]" The last note is a hot link to the following note:

We plan to bring the print volumes back, since we have added shelf space,
once we have compact shelving in place.
