Re: Periodical Arrangement Tian Zhang 15 Feb 2007 14:09 UTC

We subscribe more and more online titles to reduce the print titles each
year. We rearranged the shelves of bind volumes two years ago since we
verified some titles were no longer bind. As soon as we finished that
project, we found that we are in the position of beginning a new project
of discarding bind volumes if they are online by dependable resources
(such as Jstor, IOP, and ACS, etc.). If I foresaw the late project, I
will not do the first one.

I'm working on an article for publication, and it would be very
helpful to get your opinions. Do you think the rise of online
periodical use has affected, or caused you to rethink, your print
periodical arrangement as far as classification or alphabetizing titles
goes?

Thank you!
