Hello All,

I know the subject line sounds strange.

I seem to recall that some publishers, or aggregators of groups of publications offer(ed) a discount price to authors whose articles were accepted for publication IF there was an institutional or library membership.

As I recall those memberships were hefty ones and that somewhere I read that some institutions/libraries had done this but then discontinued because of the cost.

Does anyone recall specific names?

You can reply offlist if you wish.   The reason for this question is that I just thought that if price was no object, the library might consider this a future role in  the institution. We are working on new roles, goals etc.
