ELECTRONIC RESOURCES LIBRARIAN - #1095

The University of Wyoming is seeking applicants for an Electronic
Resources Librarian (ERL)  position.

 Responsibilities:

Plays a leadership role in the acquisition, management, and evaluation
of licensed electronic resources to ensure consistent and integrated
access for the University of Wyoming. Working in a collaborative
environment, the ERL is primarily responsible for all phases of
procurement and management of licensed electronic resources. The
position reports to the Head of Collection Development.

 The ERL is the Library's principal liaison to vendors and consortial
partners regarding all issues for acquisition and maintenance of online
resources. Manages lifecycle processes for electronic resources,
including tracking vendor and license information, consortial
memberships, renewals and plans for discontinuation of resources or
significant interface changes. Develops and monitors data and statistics
to better enable the analysis of electronic resource use and pricing
patterns. Creates and interprets usage reports and other data to support
decision-making. Participates in the materials budget planning process.

 Minimum Qualifications

*	ALA-accredited graduate degree from a library and information
sciences program or an advanced degree in a related field
*	Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.

*	Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*	Ability to collaborate successfully with faculty and colleagues
in a working environment characterized by rapid change.

Preferred Qualifications

*	Three years experience in an academic library
*	Evidence of high levels of productivity when working
independently or in groups, as changing situations require.
*	Successfully demonstrated leadership skills.
*	Experience in working with publishers and vendors of electronic
resources.
*	Demonstrated competencies in managing or troubleshooting
electronic resources.
*	Experience in and strong commitment to outstanding user
experiences.
*	Demonstrated flexibility in and enjoyment of collaborative
endeavors in a project-based environment.
*	Project management experience.
*	Understanding of practices and trends in using licensed
electronic resources and other digital content such as open URL access,
federated searching, course management systems, and electronic resource
management software.
*	Experience with inventory tracking, report generating, and
database development tools.

APPLICATION AND SALARY:  Review of applications will begin on June 19,
2007, and will continue until the position is filled or the search is
terminated.  Minimum salary is $37,000 dependent on qualifications and
experience; 12-month appointment, 22 days vacation; sick leave, group
health insurance, state and TIAA-CREF retirement plans, no state income
