The University of California, Berkeley, seeks an energetic and innovative
leader who will help to shape the future of the Library's cataloging and
metadata endeavors in a dynamic and changing environment. The Head of
Serials Cataloging will coordinate and supervise the cataloging of serials
in all formats. The Library wishes to attract individuals whose interest,
presence, and contributions will expand our commitment and ability to serve
an increasingly diverse user population and changing environment. The Head
of Serials Cataloging will position the Technical Services Department's
team of knowledgeable and dedicated staff to meet the challenges of new
systems, new technologies, and new ways of envisioning traditional
cataloging functions.
