We check them in (on Voyager). It just simplifies things when someone
wants to know if we got a certain one, which happens fairly regularly.
We used to tattletape them also, but when there was no noticeable loss
after a trial period of not doing so, we stopped doing so.

Retention periods are 3 weeks to 6 months.

I would be very interested in knowing how you process newspapers at your
library. Do you check in. & if so, what system does your library use
(e.g.
SIRSI, etc.)

If you do NOT check in, how do you keep track of your holdings?
Anything else you care to share would be appreciated.
