Re: CDS contact at Library of Congress Rex Dotson 13 Jun 2007 15:23 UTC
We have been trying since early this year (around Feb. or March) to get a subscription going for the Cataloger's Desktop. We faxed our order information at least separate 3 times. Each time our acquisitions manager speaks to the (same!) person at CDS they act as if they've never heard of us. It's extremely frustrating. Your tax dollars at work. Not. ________________________________ Rex Dotson Librarian Specialist, Bibliographic Division Detroit Public Library, Service Building 5828 Third Street Detroit, Michigan 48202 (313)833-1015 FAX (313)831-5104 E-mail: rdotson@detroit.lib.mi.us Rick Anderson <rickand@UNR.EDU> Sent by: "SERIALST: Serials in Libraries Discussion Forum" <SERIALST@LIST.UVM.EDU> 06/13/2007 10:15 AM Please respond to "SERIALST: Serials in Libraries Discussion Forum" <SERIALST@LIST.UVM.EDU> To SERIALST@LIST.UVM.EDU cc Subject Re: [SERIALST] CDS contact at Library of Congress And just wait until you try to negotiate your Cataloger's Desktop license! --- Rick Anderson Dir. of Resource Acquisition University of Nevada, Reno Libraries (775) 682-5664 rickand@unr.edu > -----Original Message----- > From: SERIALST: Serials in Libraries Discussion Forum > [mailto:SERIALST@LIST.UVM.EDU] On Behalf Of Kim Maxwell > Sent: Wednesday, June 13, 2007 7:04 AM > To: SERIALST@LIST.UVM.EDU > Subject: Re: [SERIALST] CDS contact at Library of Congress > > Yes, every single time I try to pay them there is a > protracted problem > lasting approximately 3-6 months.
