Re: freely accessible journals. John Lucas 25 Oct 2007 20:15 UTC

Donna,

As a Medical School Library, I have tried to determine those that are of relevance to our primary users. With a more (liberal arts?) institution such as yours a more global addition might be better.

It is not JUST those that may be in your available indexes or abstracts, but ALSO which titles might be Cited in those articles in your indexes and abstracts.

Trying to formulate this while listening to the Mama's and the Papa's, HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE DAY

All of these sites are wonderful for the open-access journals-- we've been using them (except for the Open J-gate) for quite a while now. My question is: how do you decide which ones to include in your journal finder or catalog?? Do you check the indexes first? Or do you enter most of them without checking on indexing/abstracting, etc.??

Thanks,
Donna
