Re: Comparison between EBSCO & WT Cox Ian Woodward 01 Feb 2008 13:24 UTC

We have had no trouble with garnering responses from EBSCO. Neither has staff turnover there been notable either. Our account representative retired about four years ago and was replaced by someone else in the office familiar to us, but otherwise everyone I correspond with was there at the time I took this position in 1999. Nor do we have much trouble making orders, placing claims, viewing claims, &c.

We recently switched from EBSCO to WT Cox. The transition has complicated things, but I would say Cox is much easier to work with.
They are much more responsive, and they don't seem to have as much turnover, so it's much easier to establish a relationship with the customer service representative. Additionally, it is much simpler to view the order, place claims, and check claims on-line. Finally, Cox charges us less than EBSCO.

I would be interested in the results of this comparison.

I'd like to know if anyone uses WT Cox for their periodicals subscription management, or even better, if they've used both and can compare the two services. We subscribe to around 300 periodicals.
