Re: Need examples of quirky e-journals Andree Rathemacher 21 Mar 2008 15:47 UTC

One of my favorites, on SpringerLink:

*Swiss Journal of geosciences* (1661-8726) More full text
options<http://zu4tq4pb5v.search.serialssolutions.com/?sid=sersolReport&genre=journal&SS_source=42&title=Swiss+Journal+of+geosciences&issn=1661-8726&SS_LibHash=ZU4TQ4PB5V>
from 06/16/2007 to present in SpringerLink Contemporary (1997 -
Present)<http://zu4tq4pb5v.search.serialssolutions.com/log?L=ZU4TQ4PB5V&D=RSV&J=SWJOG&U=http%3A%2F%2F0-www.springerlink.com.helin.uri.edu%2Fopenurl.asp%3Fgenre%3Djournal%26issn%3D1661-8726>

*Eclogae geologicae Helvetiae* (0012-9402) More full text
options<http://zu4tq4pb5v.search.serialssolutions.com/?sid=sersolReport&genre=journal&SS_source=42&title=Eclogae+geologicae+Helvetiae&issn=0012-9402&SS_LibHash=ZU4TQ4PB5V>
          from 05/01/2004 to 12/14/2006 in SpringerLink Contemporary (1997 -
Present)<http://zu4tq4pb5v.search.serialssolutions.com/log?L=ZU4TQ4PB5V&D=RSV&J=ECLOGEOHE&U=http%3A%2F%2F0-www.springerlink.com.helin.uri.edu%2Fopenurl.asp%3Fgenre%3Djournal%26issn%3D0012-9402>
I can see why they changed the title!

Each has a separate URL and page on SpringerLink, but they link to one
another.

Annual Reviews, on the other hand: I remember that they put all issues under
the current title, essentially obscuring title change history.

For example:

*Annual review of ecology and systematics* (0066-4162) More full text

from 1996 to 2002 in Annual Reviews Complete A-Z

*Annual review of ecology, evolution, and systematics* (1543-592X) More
