LAC seeks qualified Library Technicians to work in a major government
library in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of
serials records and experience working with an Integrated Library
System.

  Responsibilities:

*	Pulling selected serials titles from the stacks
*	Preparing serial units for shipment to bindery
*	Preparing computerized bindery tickets
*	Creating and updating bibliographic item records and holdings
summaries
*	Quality review of all pre-bindable units

 Qualifiactions:

*	Prior experience working with serials
*	Data entry and shelving experience
*	Prior experience with LARS or a similar binding software
desirable
*	Prior experience using an integrated library system, preferably
Voyager
*	Ability to analyze and identify serial patterns and records in
multiple languages
*	Strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure with
strict deadlines
*	Able to lift 50 lbs

 * This is a production environment position
