Thank you, Janet Fisher Publishers Communication Group Call for applications for the 7th IFLA International Marketing Award UNITED KINGDOM, December 4, 2008 - The IFLA Section on Management and Marketing, in collaboration with Emerald, welcome applications for the best library marketing project worldwide. IFLA (The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) is an international body for library and information services and their users. The objective of this award is to reward the best library marketing project worldwide each year, encourage marketing in libraries and give libraries the opportunity to share marketing experiences. Three finalists will be recognized for their achievements. From these three finalists, the winner will be chosen. The winner of the award will be chosen by the IFLA International Marketing Award committee and will receive airfare, lodging and registration for the 2009 IFLA General Conference and Council in Milan, Italy, as well as a cash award of US$ 1,000 which must be used to further the marketing efforts of the recognized organization. The three finalists will be announced in March 2009 and the winner will be announced officially at IFLA Press Conference in August 2009, in Milan, Italy. The deadline for entries is January 31st 2009. Guidelines and application forms are available from http://www.ifla.org/III/grants/marketing-award.htm Entries are welcomed from any library worldwide that markets library products or services. Proposals essentially will display an original marketing project for a library and will clearly present the benefits of the project. The proposal must also identify the needs of the intended customer. Applicants will be judged on the level of creativity and innovation demonstrated and significantly their potential to generate visibility for the library.
