Re: Haworth Journals David Sayers 06 Jan 2009 20:54 UTC

This is the reply I got when I brought this to their attention:

Dear David,

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are aware of this problem and we're working on removing it. We believe Google mistakenly flagged haworthpress.com as a risk.
If you are concerned, please remember that all former Haworth Press titles are now available on Taylor & Francis platform, www.informaworld.com
Please let me know if have any questions.

Thank you,

Indeed, I get the same 'site under attack' message which is, as you say, scary, so I'm switching titles over as I write this so that I can turn off the Haworth links. Whether it's a hoax or not, it does effectively bar access to the Haworth site!

Has anyone happened to Google any of the Haworth journals within the last couple of days?

I got a 'this site may harm your computer' message. The diagnostic page says:
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://www.haworthpress.com/&hl=en

"Of the 1039 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 125 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2009-01-05, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2008-12-31."

This may be an innocent part of the changeover to T&F, but it's pretty scary for users.
