I don't know if we have any electronic journals through Haworth Press, but I received this email about a virus on their website through the University of Kentucky's library school listserv. I thought you might want to know about this if you hadn't heard already.

Hello everyone,

Be VERY careful as you start collecting readings for a new semester. Haworth Press, one of the major publishers of library journals, is infected with a Trojan virus. Avoid its website. However, this is easier said than done, because if you request access to a Haworth publication through a database, such as Library Lit, the bridge software that provides access to the article will send you directly to the Haworth website. You will then be infected if your machine is vulnerable. I know from personal experience yesterday. :-(

I have spoken to the tech folk at Young Library and alerted them to this and they are now working on a work-around with the bridge software. In the meantime, Haworth was recently bought by Taylor & Francis, which has made the collection of journals available *for free* on this website: www.informaworld.com<http://www.informaworld.com><http://www.informaworld.com>. The problem then is that the Informaworld website does not group library journals into its own category, so there is no easy way to find them - you must search for each journal title.

Here is a list of Haworth publications covered by the Library Lit database:

Australian & New Zealand Journal of Serials Librarianship
Behavioral & Social Sciences Librarian
Cataloging & Classification Quarterly
College & Undergraduate Libraries
Community & Junior College Libraries
Internet Reference SErvices Quarterly
Journal of Business & Finance Librarianship
Journal of Interlibrary Loan & Information Supply
Journal of Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery & Information Supply
Journal of Library Administration
Legal Reference Services Quarterly
Library & Archival Security
Medical Reference Services Quarterly
Music Reference Services Quarterly
Public Library Quarterly
The Reference Librarian
Resource Sharing and Information Networks
Science & Technology Libraries
The Serials Librarian
Technical Services Quarterly

So if your courses require readings from any of the above, use the Informaworld website to access them.

Let's start off the semester without a massive virus infection. :-)
