     Please allow me to clarify and amend this message.
     ICHPER issued two publications with very similar titles: ICHPER-SD journal (OCLC #29986547) and ICHPER-SD journal of research (OCLC    #64548375).
     The question was about the first title.  When I checked record               #29986547, I realized that it contained two errors. The first was that the record ceased in autumn 2003; the second that it was continued by ICHPER-SD journal of research.  I have corrected these errors by opening the fixed field record status and ending date and removing the 362 1.  I also added a 500 Last issue consulted note and a 515 Publication suspended note.  I also changed the 785 to a 787 unspecified relationship, with a 580 note. I also changed the 780 on #64548375.
     Now you have the whole picture.

Folks,
     The last issue we received (vol. 3, no. 2 fall & winter 2008) has the following paragraph on page 5:
"Unfortunately, my office is forced to merge the 2 ICHPER-SD journals (The Journal of ICHPER-SD & ICHPER-SD Journal of Research) into one journal due to various factors relating to the Council's priorities and publications in the light of the ICHPER-SD financial status and future direction. We have decided to focus publishing the ICHPER-SD Journal of  Research biannually and to temporarily discontinue the publication of the Journal of ICHPER-SD."
We have not yet received the new issue for 2009, so cannot verify what volume numbering it has.

Hi all,

I'm not sure how to report this.  In worldcat, the record for this serial "ICHPER-SD Journal : the official magazine of the international council for health, physical education, recreation, sport and dance" (ISSN 1091-2193) (OCoLC 29986547), indicates that it ceased publication in 2003 with volume 39.  However, I'm holding in my hand issue no. 1 of volume 43, winter 2007.

The record says that it was succeeded by "ICHPER-SD journal of research in health, physical education, recreation, sport & dance" (ISSN 1930-4595) (OCoLC 64548375), which started in 2006.

I came across this title because our vendor noted that it had suspended publication effective with v. 43, no. 3 (2007).

Does anyone know what's going on here?
