Our periodicals are checked in and out on the shelves, generally within
1-2 hours of
receipt in the mail area (which is just outside Tech Svcs door).

We have high redundancy on this task, as it is a top priority for us to
get these out
to the shelves for patrons -- out of 5 clerical staff in TS, one is
regularly assigned to
periodicals check-in, and everyone else is considered a "backup" on any
given day.
