ABOUT THE COMMERCIAL DIGEST

SERIALST Commercial Digest pilot project: Since June 2008, the SERIALST
moderators have been experimenting with compiling and distributing a
Commercial Digest once a week, on Friday afternoons, with messages
containing informational content from commercial bodies (i.e.,
publishers, vendors, agents, etc.). The moderators review submitted
messages for informational content that may interest our subscribers. We
reserve the right to reject messages that are purely for advertising or
product/service solicitation, with little or no informational content
beyond the solicitation, as well as other content that are not within
the scope and purpose guidelines of SERIALST
(see: http://www.uvm.edu/~bmaclenn/serialst.html)

If you have thoughts or feedback about the Commercial digest, or other
aspects of SERIALST, please let us hear from you. Contact information
for the SERIALST moderators is at:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Emerald launches International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management

United Kingdom, April 7, 2009 - Emerald Group Publishing Limited is pleased to announce the launch of the new title International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management. The new journal publishes papers dealing with policy-making on climate change; methodological approaches to coping with its resulting problems; and results of projects and case studies that address the environmental, social and political aspects of climate change.

Volume 1, Number 1 (March 2009) includes articles on a range of issues such as:

*	Challenges to communication and education about climate change
*	New methods to determine CO2 emissions in supply chains
*	Energy-related steps needed to address climate change
*	Breaking the deadlock of the Kyoto climate negotiations
*	Case study of a local government's efforts to affect energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions
*	Case study of Latvia's approaches to prioritizing climate change issues at a country level
*	A GIS analysis that locates the climatically stable forest within Central and West Africa

The editorial team includes editor Walter Leal Filho of Hamburg University, and regional editors Petr Chylek (Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA), Jorge Alberto Ruiz Odonez (National Environmental Protection Council, Guatemala), Seminur Topal (Yildiz Technical University, Turkey), and Sirintornthep Towprayoon (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand) and an international editorial advisory board of twenty-two researchers from around the world.

Walter Leal Filho commented, "IJCCSM meets a long perceived need for peer-reviewed publications which address the management elements of climate change in an interdisciplinary way. It will provide a unique outlet for publishing results of research, practical studies and analyses of the ecological, social, economic and political aspects of climate change, in a way not seen before."

The journal is published quarterly and is available in print and online formats. In addition, it is available as part of the Industry and Public Sector Management Subject Collection. Subscribers to the Emerald Management Plus collection will also receive access to all new journals including IJCCSM.
