Your subscription agent should take care of it. After all, that is part of what you are paying them for. It is very common to get at least one issue of the next vol., or even more after the cancellation, but no publisher should ask you for payment. Keep any correspondence you send to your agent telling them of the cancellations, plus you will have your much smaller invoice as proof.
