We have the NYT Electronic Image Edition from Newsbank which is an exact
digital form of the printed edition . You can print full pages, jump
between sections, zoom in on content, click on live links, and perform
keyword searches. Plus you have access to all subscribed content from the
subscription date (i.e. archive). However, once the subscription is
cancelled you no longer have access to the subscribed period - reason for
this is the vendor is a third party. We are authenticated via IP (we run
EZProxy) so remote users can access using their portal sign-on. Pricing is
based on FTE.

Information materials I have in the file give the following number for
inquiries: 800-762-8182 or email: sales@newsbank.com

Hope you find this information helpful!

Best regards,
Jennifer

Sent by: "SERIALST: Serials in Libraries Discussion Forum" <SERIALST@list.uvm.edu>

Dear friendly collective wisdom:

Our administration is curious as to the possibility of getting an
institutional subscription available for all currently enrolled students
and current faculty and staff members for the New York Times. Going a step
further, the issues would be accessible if on campus (authentication by IP
address) or off campus (authentication by proxy). To me, it SEEMS like
something that shouldn't be too difficult (although I suspect it would be
quite pricy), but I can't seem to find anyone at the Times who knows
anything about a subscription as described.

So, if you have or know anything about a subscription such as that
described above, would you please private message me and share the juicy
details? Same story if you're interested in what is discovered. Just
tryin' to keep inboxes clear (or as clear as possible).

Thanks, and cheers,
Matt
