This appeared in a Q & A forum in today's online New York Times:

Q. Our university library wishes to subscribe to the digital New York Times for campus access. How can we do that now? Do you have pricing yet?

A. Site licenses are not available at this time, but we are planning to offer them in the future. Please stay tuned.

Our EBSCO support contact says there is an institutional rolling 90-day plan for online access, but it has to be ordered direct. I've not yet been able to find anything about online institutional subscriptions on the NYT site. I did email their customer support department, and am awaiting a reply.

Does anyone else have information on this?

Thanks - Jeff

I just became aware that the New York Times will soon start charging online readers who want to read more than 20 articles per month. Since our transition from traditional microfilm to the ProQuest Digital Microfilm product (which has a 2-3 month lag time in filming), we have relied on our print subscription and NYTimes.com to fill the gap.

Anyone else have plans or suggestions on how to proceed in light of the new fees?

Thanks,

Lori
