I've been following this thread while I assist with renewal duties (our
periodicals librarian quit) and noted the presence of HBR on the current
renewal. As you say, I'll renew and see what happens.

Has anyone else noticed that even though EBSCO's been telling us for months
that they can no longer handle print subscriptions for HBR, it's still on
the renewal in EBSCOnet? At least it's on our renewal. So I said Yes; what
the heck. Probably in February we'll get a credit memo with a note "must
order direct." At least I will have tried, futile though that may be.

Hi all,

I, too, have recently discovered that HBR is no longer working with ebsco.
I have been pondering (restlessly!) for the last week and am asking the
collective what are you going to do about 2015? HBR’s subscription page
appears to be set up for individuals and not institutions. We currently do
not handle order direct titles because of the extra time involved in doing
so.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Best,

Hi Ken,

Thanks so much for your note about this. I wasn’t aware that EBSCO was
dropping 2015 print subscriptions for HBR. I don’t recall ever receiving
any notice of this change.

Hello!

Earlier this year, we received notification from EBSCO that they will no
longer be able to handle renewals/new orders for print subscriptions to the
Harvard Business Review (HBR).

Our Library subscribes to the print HBR and has online access via Business
Source Complete. With all of the article use restrictions for HBR, has
anyone just been relying on Business Source Complete for their access? If
so, how are you making professors aware of the article use restrictions, as
stated on each HBR article on Business Source Complete?

For those who aren't familiar, this is the HBR Notice of Use Restrictions
on each article:

Harvard Business Review and Harvard Business Publishing Newsletter content

EBSCOhost users. It is not intended for use as assigned course material in
academic institutions nor as corporate learning or training materials in
businesses. Academic licensees may not use this content in electronic
