         The Libraries at Oregon State University and Washington State
         University are co-hosting the THIRD NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
         LIBRARIANS AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT:  "Information
         Management in the Developing World."  It will be held at
         Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon April 28-30,
         1991.  The program includes the following presentations:

         Keynote Address
         Paul Findley, former Illinois Congressman, Member of the
         Board for International Food and Agricultural Development and
         Economic Cooperation, USAID, and co-author Title XII.

         "Resource Sharing in Developing Countries:  Fact or Fiction?"
          Antoinette Paris Powell, Director, Agriculture Library,
         University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY

         "Library Networks in Less-Developed Countries:  Two Argentine
         Cases and Some Observations."  Donna Taxco Tang, Assistant to
         the Provost, Downtown Campus, Pima Community College, Tucson,
         AZ (formerly Library Director)

         "Administrative Aspects of Third World Library Development:
         The Five Pillars of Sustainable Information Transfer."  Susan
         Vince Emerson, Consultant, Technology Generation, Inc., New
         York, NY and Ibrahim Zaki and Gamal Andrawes, EDICA (Egyptian
         Documentation and Information Centre for Agriculture)

         "Fisheries Information System in Indonesia."  Sarojini
         Balachandran, Head, Department of Science and Technology,
         Ralph Brown Draughon Library, Auburn University, Auburn, AL

         "The Cross-Cultural Study of Human-Computer Interaction."
         Donald L. Day, Ph.D. Candidate, School of Information
         Studies, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY

         "The Regional Approach to Information Sharing:  U.S.
         Environmental Protection Agency's Experiences in the Southern
         Africa and Eastern Europe Regions."  Linda Hill Spencer and
         Rachel Senner VanWingen, Office of Information Resources
         Management, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

         In addition there will be an interactive session led by James
         Henson and Jan Noel of the International Program Development
         Office, Washington State University, Pullman, WA.  Poster
         sessions will be available for viewing at a time that does
