The university of Arizona Library sadly announced the sudden death on
Wednesday, September 25, of J. Travis Leach, long-time Serials Acquisitions
Librarian and sometime member of NASIG and Serialst.  Travis participated in
several of the Charleston Conferences on Library Acquisitions and attended
the 1988 NASIG Annual Conference at Claremont.

A memorial service will be held in Tucson at S. Francis in th Foothills at
River Road and Swan at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 6.  In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the "LSA J. Travis Leach Memorial Fund" which will be
used for a scholarship for a Graduate Library School student or for special
purchases for the Library.  Checks may be sent in care of Lee Gilbert, Library
Administration Office, University of Arizona Library, Tucson, AZ 85721.

Travis was well-known in the areas of serials acquisitions and collection
development, and will be greatly missed by friends and colleagues alike.
