Job Posting (Barbara Winters) Marcia Tuttle 17 Apr 1992 14:27 UTC
---------------------------- Text of forwarded message ----------------------- Date: Fri, 17 Apr 1992 08:11:00 EST From: BWINTERS@DESIRE.WRIGHT.EDU Subject: Job Posting Many of you have read of fiscal woes in Ohio and may therefore be reluctant to apply for this position. I want to assure you that the Wright State University has managed well during this time of fiscal exigency and continues to strongly support the libraries, having just given a $65,000 augmentation to the library materials and access budget in fy92. We are doing interesting work here: There are opportunities to implement the III acquisitions and serials control modules, to serve as departmental liaison to state and regional groups, to define what "access" means to acquisitions work, and to work with leaders in the profession. In addition, Dayton is a livable area. The posting states that it features a "wide diversity of cultural and recreational activities," and that is true. For example, the arts are strongly supported in Dayton. In addition, the city is only an hour from both Columbus and Cincinnati. Working at Wright State University Libraries is an adventure, and I ask that you consider joining us in the adventure. This job announcement is being cross-posted to a number of lists, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. --Barbara Winters, AUL for Central Services ***************************************************************** POSITION: Head, Acquisitions Department, available July 1, 1992 RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer acquisitions operations for health sciences and academic library, including order and receiving of serials and monographs and periodicals service desk.
