We do keep looseleaf materials in the collection which we have cancelled.  We
also order many looseleaf materials without placing standing orders for
supplementation.  The only rationale that I know of is cost.  We do place a
sticker on the cover that says "Not updated since [date]".  If a looseleaf
service is replaced by a new edition, we generally discard the earlier edition.
