SALES OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT / SERIALS SPECIALIST

Readmore Academic, Inc., a growing academic library supplier, is looking
for two individuals to work as Serials Specialists in a sales territory.
One position will cover the Southeast territory and the other will cover
the Midwest territory.  Both positions will require overnight travel.

As Serials Specialist you will be responsible for visiting current
clients, as well as actively selling services to new clients within your
assigned territory.  In addition, you will serve as a consultant,
trainer, and specialist for various product lines, including
subscriptions, PC-based serials processing systems, and article delivery
systems.

The Serials Specialist participates in professional organizations and
attends regional meetings in the territory.

REQUIREMENTS: - MLS from an ALA accredited library school is preferred;
              - two years experience in technical services within an
                     automated library environment;
              - knowledge of microcomputers and online serials control
                     systems;
              - demonstrated ability to work independently;
              - ability to communicate clearly and effectively with
                     individuals and groups, both orally and in writing.

Base salary is $30,000+ and commission, plus fringe benefits.
Position available: January 1, 1994, or earlier.
