     Here's a brief response to give  a general guide as  to  the
CONSER documentation that addresses serial reprints,  and  a  few
related LCRIs.  It  is correct to note  the CONSER Editing Guide,
Appendix L, no. 5, which addresses *Regular-print reprints* in  a
field-by-field manner,  with instructions  as  to  what  to  base
information on (original or reprint).
     It  is  the CONSER Cataloging Manual, in Modules 14  and 17,
that gives more involved instructions on how to handle reprints.
Also, in  the CCM  two LCRIs are cited, on which CONSER policy is
based:  LCRI 12.0A and 12.0B1.
