In answer to Becky Breedlove's and Steve Murden's questions about circulating
periodicals: With the exception of the periodicals in our Art & Architecture
Library and those at the Regents Center Library in Kansas City, most of our
periodicals circulate -- with short loan periods (and in each branch library,
there may be a certain % that do not circulate according to policies & needs
of the branch, for instance those in the Ref. collections). Out of our
total number of periodicals, this would be a rough estimate of 10,000(+)
titles that circulate.

Oregon State University's Kerr Library doesn't circulate
unbound periodicals. Unbound issues are located on display
shelves on each floor of the library with a temporary call
number label and another label "DISPLAY: unbound issues do
not circulate." Bound volumes are in the stacks.

After binding, periodicals are circulated for a 1 day loan
period to faculty and graduate students only.
