I have to follow up on Paula Lynch's message about Gordon and Breach
on two counts.

        The first is that my copy of the Subscription Rate Explanation chart,
to which she refers clearly states that ILL between academic libraries is
NOT allowed under the Photocopy License Rate.  This was also confirmed by a
customer service representative in the Pennsylvania International Publishers
Distributor office, as well as by the now well-known Luigi Fort.

        The second point is one of very strong agreement with Paula's
suggestion to check your invoices, but compare it to the International
Publishers Distributor  price list.  The College of William and Mary was
under the impression that all 15 of our Gordon and Breach subscriptions were
billed at the Photocopy License Rate.  As it turned out, 5 of the titles
were billed at a much higher rate, but not at the Network Rate either.  Some
of the overcharges were 2 and some were 3 times higher than the Photocopy
License Rate.  Mr. Fort has been contacted to ascertain how these prices
were arrived at.

        So the story with Gordon and Breach goes on and on.  What exciting
events will we see as this story unfolds?
