Foreign titles Day Logan 20 Apr 1995 20:01 UTC

Our library has as a part of our collection three foreign titles Stern,
Spiegel, and Paris Match that our particularly difficult to maintain for a
variety of reasons. In the past, we have not bound (commercially or in
house) these titles. Our reasons for not binding have been primarily
because issues are continually missing, margins are too small for in house
binding, they are difficult to retrieve through duplicate exchange
programs, and accounting, for reasons too involved to explain here, does
not like to deal with the foreign currency issue when ordering back issues.
Consequently, we have maintained these titles as loose issues in a secured
area of the library. My questions are these:

Does anyone maintain back issues of these titles in microform and if so,
who is your vendor and what is the aprox. cost?

Does anyone go ahead and commercially bind these titles incomplete?
Is there a back issue dealer that anyone knows of who has a good supply of
foreign titles?

Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful. Thanks Day Logan.
