Special interest OR General interest, RE:newspapers. The OR does apply to
Women's Wear Daily even though WWD never carries articles of general
interest. If the statement read Special interest AND General interest, then
WWD would be excluded from the set of newspapers (as it carries NO general
interest articles). According to the rules of Boolean logic, a proposition
is true, or an element is included in the set, if the proposition or element
meet the requirements of one or both sides of the operator OR. The operator
AND is the one that necessitates the meeting the requirements of both sides
of the operator (AND) in order to be true/included in the set.
