The seminars cover 1) library services for the Asian community, and 2)Technical Services uses of the World Wide Web & Yahoo's 1st Librarian Hired to Catalog the Web. I. A.S.I.A. Technical Service Center of CLASS will sponsor: **Reaching Out to Our Pacific Neighbors** from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Susan Ma, Senior Librarian, Rosegarden Branch, San Jose Public Library and Suzanne Lo, Head, Asian Branch Library, Oakland Public Library will present innovative ideas on how libraries can effectively reach out to the Asian Pacific Communities. Gain a better understanding of the cultural and linguistic heritages of the diverse Asian population, and learn how to increase community awareness among these emerging majorities. II. CLASS Internet Access will sponsor: **Top 100 Technical Services Benefits of Web Page Development** from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Barbara Stewart, MLS, Latin American Cataloger at the University of Massachusetts, will present the case for catalogers, acquisitions librarians and other 'behind the scenes' types to be present in the development, use, and maintenance of library web pages to tap into the Web's potential for enhancing their everyday work flow. Ms. Stewart will cover everything from accessing the WWW for online documentation and rules; quick access to publishers and library vendors; language assistance, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. Anne Callery, MSLS, is the first librarian hired by Yahoo!, Inc. to catalog the World Wide Web.
