Dear Michele,
We have used FirstSearch for the last two years at our library. We have
bought blocks of 500 searches, and have found them to be fairly reasonable.
Our usage of this service has been uneven--at times we use FirstSearch often,
but other times it goes unused. The searches are mediated by our librarians,
with the student observing. I think that article retrieval is very good,
with an excellent selection of databases. The search operation is somewhat
clumsy, but still works well. I haven't used full-text online sources, and
am not familiar with the NetFirst Database you mentioned. All in all, I
would say that FirstSearch is worth a try.

Sincerely,

I am curious about an advertisment for OCLC's FirstSearch service.

Is anybody already using this service? If so, could you share your
evaluation/impressions especially concerning:

- journals articles retrieval
- full text Online service
- NetFirst database

Are these services reasonably priced in your opinion? Are they well
indexed and easy to search (especially for journals)?

I would appreciate any information. Thank you!
