Responded to my questions with the following info. : "We pay cash or
credit. The price is based on the title and volumes, there is no fixed per
issue or per volume price. You would need to pack the volumes, we pay
the shipping charges. If necessary, we can send shipping cartons. If
known in advance, we factor the cost into our bid. Otherwise, we
deduct the cost from our bid. We can provide shipping labels for a large
shipment, together with a bill of lading for the trucking company, if the
shipment is large enough to be sent by motor freight. We advise the
trucking company to use and the phone number to arrange a pick-up. If
the shipment is small, we arrange a pick-up by RPS, so there is no cost
or paperwork for you. Much depends on the titles you have and how
complete they are. If your list consists of many volumes missing issues,
it will be less interesting than if you have the last 5-10 years complete."
Was not interested in what we had this time but asked us to keep them in
mind for the future.
Several other libraries mentioned them as well.

Did not reply to the list that I faxed after inquiring by telephone. Another
library mentioning them quoted the following from their brochure: "We
buy complete volumes only, preferably in long runs or complete sets. We
are primarily interested in scholarly, scientific, and technical journals in
all fields and most languages."

Scholarly Publications
Houston, TX (If I had a more complete address for this one, I have
misplaced it; sorry.)
800-275-7825
fax 713-781-2112
Attn. Rose
Said on the phone they would pay shipping costs and reimburse us for
cost of boxes and packing, but did not respond further once we faxed
our list.

THE END!

Good luck to all of you. - Natalie Gorvine, The Children's Hospital of
