My question is: if the other vendors are not making any money on these titles, why would they provide them at no profit? You know the fee has to be there, so I have to assume it's hidden in the service charge. Let's face it, they all have to cover expenses, and the service provided for these difficult titles is quite costly to them ... the $5 barely begins to cover it. That's cheaper than an extra 1/2% on many of my titles. I wish I had the time and resources to do a title by title analysis of a set list. I'll bet we'd get some major variances in service charge on these titles.
